My First Solo Show

Artist Statement

This collection was more than just a showcase of ceramic art—it was a reflection of my journey, my heritage, and the fire that shaped me. Inspired by the rich traditions of my Thai culture, I poured my heart into each piece, allowing the clay to carry stories of identity, resilience, and transformation.

Raku firing, with its unpredictable and raw beauty, mirrored my path as an artist and as a person. The flames taught me to embrace imperfection and trust the process, finding beauty in the unexpected. Like the pieces born in the heat of the kiln, I was molded by challenges and polished by moments of growth throughout this season of my life.

As I graduated, this show felt like both an ending and a beginning—a farewell to my time as a student and a celebration of where the journey had brought me. These pieces held the essence of my dreams and the lessons I learned—both as an artist and as someone striving to make the world a more beautiful and meaningful place.

I hope that those who saw and experienced these works felt a connection to their own stories, a moment of reflection, or simply a sense of wonder. Thank you for being part of this moment with me.
